Kong monetary Authority about tokenizing Real estate and so much more we recently Did a pro project in Hong Kong with the Hong Kong monetary Authority which is The Central Bank in Hong Kong and it was To um tokenize real estate so people Have a property you can tokenize that And represent that on the blockchain and Then in this particular project we were Uh that people were able to release Capital from their property in the form Of a Cbdc uh it was all done through a smart Contract process so essentially um you Know if a making up the numbers but you Know there was $100,000 worth of equity At the house the bank was able to Pre-approve how much of that could be Borrowed and then when the individual Says yes I want to apply for this it all Sort of happened automatically now this Was uh a pilot so it wasn't real money Right it was but it was um an example of How you can um program capabilities into The monetary Financial system which is I Personally think is the one of the most Exciting things about digital currency Is what you can do with it that you Can't do easily with today's System no question about it and James is Always so succinct and really really Amazing when he breaks something down Now let's take a listen to this CU Brooks ENT whistle he's got his own heat

That are much further down the road and There you have it because again again we Know that the largest banks are The Gatekeepers the king in the mountain When it comes to Global Payments they're The ones that want to push Pauls on this So that way they can continue to make Money on the way the system currently is But by empowering the smaller banks that Are open to these conversations to be Able to have access to making payments This way you're really starting to Challenge that upper level that are Trying to keep the masses and the other Financial institutions below them this Is going to cause a Tipping Point an Inflection point there's no question it Will because the smaller banks are Getting the edge they're getting it Right now and with the help of Ripple Take a listen to this with a digital Larry there are that's a similarity to Replace the cash yeah it's a digital Form Right exactly but with this project um I Think one of the distinctions about it Is there looking at um tokenizing bonds So retail consumers can get access to to Bond to to bond Securities um looking at Tokenizing real estate there's a payroll Um element to the pilot um and then There's an offline element so this is Where you know when you have your mobile Phone if you have no internet connection
You can still make purchases so with the Digital l The so you see right there the Tokenizing bonds and offline element Right and if I'm not mistaking my memory Serves me right isn't a digital lri like The uh the country Georgia not the State forgive me for that had a little Little space there for the audio Sometimes my microphone just does not Want to act right ever since I got this New Mac I don't know what it is it just All of a sudden in the middle it'll cut Off but at any rate my point is here you See tokenizing bonds and offline element Does that sound like this is not going By way of everything we've learned of Course it is but it's taking longer Because banks are not innovators and in Fact the largest banks of the world Don't want the change because they sit As king of the mountain on the Global Payments world and stage and they don't Want to change the way the friction is In the system system CU they all make so Much money off of it but you know what It's going to have an inflection point There will be a Tipping Point to all of This ladies and gentlemen and let's have Another one here and Shout Out To Dai For catching all these clips right here Wal Garden private Ledger walls come Down xrp the bridge ifications and you Have also mentioned about the blockchain
System uh my question is it's going to Be uh integrated let me say so on the Existing blockchain or uh you guys are Thinking about some outstanding system In regards of digital yeah it's a great Question um uh so basically the Technology uh that we're creating for The digital lar is a private blockchain But it's based on the technology used in The public blockchain so the public Blockchain that we use is called The xrp Ledger um it's a uh publicly available Open source blockchain technology and What we do for each country we're Working with we take a uh we create a New private version so you can only use The blockchain if you are permissioned To do so so we've got the reason the Advantage of that is The xrp Ledger Technology is proven it has been Processing billions of Transactions um but you know central Banks like to have things a little bit More private so we have created a Private version so it's a little bit of A hybrid to answer your question but Definitely it's a absolutely independent Platform which is specifically performed For each project where you evaluate yes Yeah exactly right so there you have it There you have it right now let's keep Going because we got some more here take A listen to the Brooks again I think This banking Point is really interesting
Because one of the things and I'm sure Brian's noticed from his time from being The regulator to now we've noticed this Even the last year um a lot of the Banks Basically all the banks that you would Go to 5 years ago with a solution that Said hey you know what that Swift thing Why don't you put that to the side and We can give you a replacement Network to Send money overseas between banks no one Wanted to even have you in the room but The these banks are all moving very Quickly with their own you know desks Being set up their pet worth clients are Asking for it now and so they will Evolve um in in the same way that that Others will have to come along and if They don't and if they're sit sitting Still and not asking questions or Haven't identified a smart young person To be driving this for them right now um That's a bad place to Be that's strong language right there And I like hearing it and I tell you When you look at what James Wallace and What Brooks an whistle were saying here You know we've talked and we've heard The community and we've seen multiple People try to divide the community that There's not enough bottomup approach There's too much top down people even Are claiming that Ripple have failed I Think it's all nonsense when the it is It's not about top down approach or
Bottom up approach Ripple in The xrp Ledger is a public good it is the Approach whether you're coming from the Bottom up or you're coming from the top Down that's why they chose to take a Copy of a replicated copy of the xrp Public Ledger as James said because There hasn't been any issues with the Ledger and then they build on that in a Permission way for each Bank to have Their own system this is what we're We're seeing and as far as I'm concerned That looks less like well should we go Top down or bottom up when the reality Is The xrp Ledger is the approach Whether you're coming from top down or Bottom Up there it Is we got it right here and then this From Swift the global head of innovation Engineering remember just a couple days Ago I showed you pegas altani City Bank And uh Swift all in a podcast together Talking about working together to affect These changes into the new Financial System data quality is hugely important To the future of financial Innovation Rachel Levy here says as new Forms of value transfer such as Tokenization and digital assets come to The four a common standard in Iso20022 will be especially important to Avoid fragmentation Does that sound like the banks aren't
Doing it look it might not be on the Timeline we want but it's happening That's what I need to see as someone Who's in this space as a Speculator and An investor the following banks are Confirmed to have been working with Ripple very quickly here is the article But here is the list and we know that This list is a lot longer we know that Bank of America doesn't have a public Announced relationship right but they do Have rip in the patents we also know That we uh have PNC which was the first US American Bank to work and sign a Partnership deal with ripple many many Years ago we also don't see the bank of England on this and they're obviously a Partner too so there there's things Missing on this list but again not bad For a company who a lot of people are Saying have failed at what they do and There's multiple banks that are not on This list that they're working with as Well just a quick kind of overview there And then let's look at this overall here From Roy it's Roy give him a follow this First time I think I've showcased this Work here and shout out to Credible Crypto where the original thread came From that birthed this post I just love This chart here and there's a fantastic 20-minute video from credit credible Crypto that I've put on my uh X profile Twitter profile that you can go watch
