Hello this is Matt on the moon Lambo Channel earlier this morning scam bankr Run fraud AKA SBF was sentenced to 25 Years in prison in order to pay $ 11 Billion in forfeiture and I'm going to Share with you in this video the Specifics and also some of the initial Reaction including perspective from Attorneys in the crypto space such as Attorney John Deon um and I'll just tell You right here right at the outset a Piece of my opinion which is that um I Really would have preferred a much Stronger sentence than this I strongly Would have preferred that um but my Thoughts you know as long as he gets you Know at least close to a few decades and This is what I've been thinking in least Recent days and weeks as long as he gets At least that then you know it's not Something that I could call a complete Travesty of Justice it's still a a Pretty great day because this guy's life Is ruined which is great cuz he ruins so Many other people's lives but I I think That the vast majority of you out there Are going to agree that we would have Pre preferred to see uh many more years Behind bars because it's a a virtual Certainty that in his later years he is Going to be out I think he's 32 years Old so you know 32 plus 25 you know he's Not even 60 so is what it is I I'll get you all
Caught up in what's what's going down Here so I know some people are Disappointed and I'm kind of like at Least his life is ruined because he Ruined somebody you know what I mean but Uh before going for further I do want to Be clear I do not have a financial Background of any kind I am not offering Financial advice and you definitely Should not buy or sell anything because Of anything I say or right I'm just an Enthusiast who enjoys making YouTube Videos about crypto related topics but Just as a hobby and just for fun all Right so the news broke this morning and About an hour before it broke at 9:49 A.m. Central Time which is my time zone I posted the following on X if SPF ends Up in prison for the rest of his life it Will be a great day if he just gets a Few decades it'll still be a pretty good Day what an awful human with no remorse Whatsoever he destroyed the lives of so Many people now my friends I wasn't just To be clear I wasn't expecting that he Was going to get life in prison Literally in fact what was on the table Was I think 110 years technically um you Can see reports of 110 or 115 one of Those is not correct U there was an Adjustment for some reason but set Setting that aside it effectively would Have been a life sentence anyway and Although that was technically on the
Table and the judge could have gone Forward with that uh that was Far Outside the realm of even what Prosecutors were pushing for prosecutors Were looking for 40 to 50 Years um and then then uh scam banker And frauds team was pushing for I think Somewhere they were like six and a half Years so that now that would have been a Travesty of justice but when you're Talking about 25 years it's not nothing It's still pretty good it's not what I Would have wanted it's definitely not What I would have wanted considering the Scale of of what he did I I I just I'm Not sold on this 25 year thing but given The fact that I do understand this is Destroying his life I feel pretty good About that because he's he's a Disgusting human who like and we'll get Into this in just a second here but Um the the Fallout in real people's Lives as a result of what he did it Can't be Overstated and so then after the news Broke I shared this post a little over An hour later 10:58 a.m. UHF sentenced To 25 years in prison today is a pretty Good day pretty good because not great You know he's not going to be behind Bars for over 100 years but it wasn't he Wasn't let off the hook I think that's a Fair assessment right I think none of Like almost none of us are going to be
Thrilled with this but we can Acknowledge we adults okay well he Wasn't completely let off the hook I'm Not thrilled about it though here's a Post this morning before the news broke Shared by Attorney James Murphy AKA Metal law man and he shared a clip of Him on the Megan Kelly's show at the end Of 2022 so about a about a month after The uh the collapse of FTX and and so this morning James Murphy Wrote In the Event you are tempted to Feel sorry for S SPF today remember this And he shared that clip now in that clip I'm not going to play it for you but um He he was speaking to the degree of Which people's lives were absolutely Ruined and yes obviously Man again AKA Attorney James Murphy Wrote uh the following as soon as the News broke SPF has been sentenced to 25 Years in Penitentiary next steps number one SP SPF will appeal the conviction and Sentence number two effective altruism Crowd will begin a lobbying effort to Biden admin to Pardon or commute the Sentence three Federal convicts can Expect to serve 85% of Sentence um yes so you know the most Curious thing about that and I Acknowledge this as possible this idea Of a pardon it's hard for me to believe
That a pardon would actually Occur I just don't see the benefit for The administration to do so I can see How it would make things much worse for Him uh this isn't something that the you Know the the public is going to be vying For who's who's crying out for this Stuff so you know maybe there's some Crowd maybe he's right that there will Be some sort of crowd that's going to be Pushing for this I just have a hard time Believing that what is most probable Though I I admit possible but what's Most probable is that it's going to Occur I'm not sure and to be clear Attorney Murphy here is not saying that He believes that it is going to happen I Don't know what he thinks about that He's just saying that there's going to Be a push for it that that now that Sounds totally possible there's going to Be some wackadoos out there pushing for Some complete nonsense yeah got that That that that would that would be Totally believable as far as whether or Not that happens though I'm skeptical of That even though I acknowledge sometimes Bad stuff in life can happen and Sometimes people do get a Parton who Probably shouldn't but in this case I I Don't see the upside and he's such such A public figure my God the out I just Don't see what the benefit Is uh here's a post from Attorney John

Gap helping Democratic candidates get Elected is it because his father is also Connected to political leaders in Washington his father Joe bankman helped Write Elizabeth Warren's Senator Elizabeth Warren's tax plan when she ran For President why did the doj drop the Campaign Finance case against SBF SPF Was the second largest donor to the Democratic party during the midterm Elections he also donate a lot of money To Republicans why was his case dropped The doj's response was that he would be Adequately prosecuted over his fraud and Theft related to FTX I don't believe 25 Years is enough to justify dropping the Fraud case related to violating campaign Finance laws this is just one more Example of why we need change in Washington DC people have lost faith in Our political system and in our federal Agencies like the doj was spf's campaign Finance case dropped in order to protect Elected officials the American people Deserve full trans Arcy yeah totally Fair questions and yeah and that's a Whole separate topic I mean if you're Looking at that that's a whole another C Of words man if you're talking about Just what was considered by the judge Today I think we're all mostly going to Agree like I think we're all mostly it's It's like you know there's Shades of
Gray in between like to to you know do We feel a little more to this way or That way okay but we're prob I think Most people are going to feel about the Same way on this because it's just Common sense that would lead you roughly To where we're we're going which is uh Yeah would have loved to see him behind Bars longer but he's not off the hook Here's a post from John deon's crypto Law organization sentence for SPF 25 Years and 11 billion in restitution this Sentence affirms the amount of harm Gary Ginzler failed to prevent as he put all His resour sources into non-fraud cases Against Library Ripple coinbase and Suing Kim Kardashian yeah at least we Were at least we were protected from Kim Kardashian right what a Threat uh attorney freder spoy had the Following to say my SPF sentencing take Thankfully for Sammy doesn't look like He's going to a Fpm prison that's a uh that stands for Federal uh pound me in the you know you Know what prison uh of course famous Line from uh office space fantastic Movie I I need to watch that movie again Anyway then he says the recommendation Was a low to medium security facility in The Bay Area I could see him end up at Atwater you can crochet there so maybe We see SPF quilts in the future Generally no parole in federal prison

Trying that same rigma role here and the Judge didn't fall for it as you can see By what he articulated there anyway Peace Continues if bankman freed was not Outright line during cross-examination By prosecutors he was evasive C said That's from the judge if he wasn't out Right line he was evasive and still he Gets 25 years that's it's that's the Thing That's a little bit amazing again it's Not like a complete travesty it's not Like he got six and a half years ah but That's why you understanding the gravity Of what he did the judge saw what he was Doing you would have hoped for more you Know you would have hoped for more years Behind anyway peace continues there is Absolutely no doubt that Mr bankman Freed's name right now is pretty much Mud around the world the judge said Jurors at trial likewise did not buy Bankman Freed's version of events Convicting him in November of seven Criminal accounts and holding him Responsible for losing about 10 billion In customer money due to the security Fra conspiracy prosecutor said bankman Freed led a conspiracy to loot customers To make investments fund political Donations to both Democrats and Republicans and for his personal use as Well as to repay loans taken out by
