Ripple to really tackle uh these issues So great question so first let me Describe the the Global Response we're Seeing on the interoperability topic and It's really in three three separate Phases so phase one was all about Domestic schemes so you know you've got Uh you know that was the first group That really said already let's try and See how we can reduce friction how can We get to interoperability and that's Where you have examples like fed now you Have some great use cases in India with UPI and with uh pxs in Brazil then the Next phase was really about countries Coming together so inter Regional and Really discussing how do we hook up our Our domestic schemes together in a Crossboard aspect and there you have Things like bua in the Middle East and You've got bricks and then the third Phase which definitely is very much in Its empy it's it's it's intra Regional And this is about different regions Coming together and talking about how do We connect up together to to get to Interoperability and there you've gotb And Nexus as some examples and you're Constantly seeing uh different groups in APAC and and the Middle East pop up in In uh in the news so so at Swift We're Super interested about the crossb Aspects of phase 2 and phase three we Want to make sure that the industry
Isn't creating too many digital islands And we want to be the network of Network And and of course we we're very agnostic As to the form of money and and uh you Know what that's going to take and the Actual systems or mode of of moving it Around and we really want to F focus on Interoperability between existing and Emerging uh networks across asset Classes so we really try to keep uh you Know up to date what's happening in the Market to make sure that you know Whether we are participating and Supporting different initiatives where Possible we do our own experimentations And you're absolutely right right so we Talked with Pega and and with Ryan on on Token a assets and cbdcs and doing a lot Of uh experimentation in both kind of Areas as as as the market you know has Identified those as key next steps of of What the next uh you know way to to Interoperability and so if you look at Tokenization you know we started off Last year looking at how we can be the Single point person hooking up tokenized Platforms to different payment platforms And now we're working with a group of Banks who are who are actually uh doing Some experiments to see if they can use Their existing Swift infrastructure to Uh you know instruct the value of Tokenized assets across multiple private And public blockchains cbdc has been
Working uh in for a little bit longer we Started off creating a connector on the Cbdc side you know between DLT based and Fiat-based systems using existing Financial rails then we did some Sandboxing again with with a small group Of people just to see does this make Sense is this the right way and uh you Know feedback from that group was yes it Makes sense and let's continue on Experimenting then we had some central Banks actually say let me take your cbdc Connector and and we'll put in our into Our infrastructure and start doing some Testing and then we just opened up a Second phase of sandbox testing with a Larger group of of Banks and and uh Central and Commercial banks that are Looking at different use cases now Around FX and Liquidity now how do you like that Ladies and gentlemen that to me is Pretty damn awesome to see all three of These people sitting in a a podcast Talking together about bringing these Infrastructures together to serve all These different levels of connectivity Uh super super excited ladies and Gentlemen super super exciting for me uh I hope it is for you too we're going Into the freedom Zone ladies and Gentlemen yes we are and today we're Going to cover we're going to talk about The cover up and you need to know about
