Hello this is Matt on the moon Lambo Channel there are two topics I'm going To discuss with you in this very latest Moon Lambo Hot Jam the first one has to Do with the idea of Ripple um not having An IPO at least not in the United States And so word did leak towards the last Part of 2023 that uh Ripple completely Did a 180 going into 2023 they had every Expectation of IPO iping sooner than Later and by the end of the year it had Leaked that nope that wasn't going to Happen and a lot of stuff that people Are speculating on including me it it's It's been verified Now by Brad Garlinghouse himself uh then there was Also this topic here here's the headline From the Crypt basic Ripple CEO comments On prospects of xrp ETF and this one is Perhaps even more interesting um and so I'll just say this one of one of the Primary concerns I have about uh you Know an xrp EF uh has to do not so much with whether Or not there would be sufficient Interest in in launching such a product By uh by entities in traditional Finance I don't really have conc not even just Traditional Finance but it's not so much That I have a concerned about that I Have a concern about the damn thing Getting approved and it turns out that Brad Garling house and I've been talking About this recently but turns out Brad
Garling house has the exact same concern And thinks it's actually very plausible That uh if if an xrp ETF uh is is if There's an application for that you're Going to have to have the court Straighten it out because I'm just I Mean we barely got a approval of a spot Bitcoin ETF we were one vote away from Not getting that damn Thing so anyway before going further I Do want to be clear I do not have a Financial background of any kind I am Not offering Financial advice and you Definitely should not buy or sell Anything because of anything I say or Right I'm just an Enthusiast to enjoys Making YouTube videos about crypto Related topics but just as a hobby and Just for fun and I've been looking Forward to discussing this stuff because Um this has being discussed widely both These topics widely discussed within our Community yesterday and I happen to have Taken the day off from YouTube Um but it's it's just it's it's too F And look the future is bright regardless I will say that Ripple's going to have An IPO there will be an xrp ETF it's Just a question of how messy of a Process is it going to be to get there And how long is it going to take but Let's talk about the IPO stuff first so Uh peace reads as false from the Crypt Basic Ripple CEO Brad garlinghouse has
Confirmed that the blockchain payment Company has explored markets outside the US for its potential initial public Offering this disclosure came while Responding to inquiries from a CNBC Journalist at the ongoing World economic Forum in Davos Switzerland according to Garlinghouse the decision to explore Alternatives comes as a response to the Under unyielding legal battle between The US Securities and Exchange Commission specifically garlinghouse Disclosed Ripple's consideration of Environments with transparent and Well-defined rules for crypto companies As potential venues for a public Listenting and he said quote we looked At other jurisdictions that have clear Rules of the road end quot and so look Um Ripple did go on a road show I Remember talking about this I think it Was like what maybe March or April of Last year I want to say and I thought That this was fascinating because I was Like this shows some high confidence That Ripple is going to be victorious in The secv Ripple case because you'll Recall we didn't have that legal Clarity For xrp until July 13th 2023 henceforth Known as xrp Victory Day so we do now Have that um that being said Ripple they The damn case still isn't exactly Wrapped up here uh there are still some Loose ends even though Ripple did get
The major victory let's be real at the Core of all this what really matters is Whether or not xrp itself is a security Uh but still it was interesting to see The level of confidence that Ripple had Dating back to about a year ago uh Because it was a clear indication if You're going on a road show you know you Get one cracket it like to that degree Anyway they were doing it they had every Intention from what i' had heard from People who know executive That it was going to happen towards the End of 2023 but once they went on the Road show the feedback they got perhaps Isn't quite what they expected and it Has nothing to do with xrp it has Nothing to do with ripple and them you Finding success and a fit in the market Has nothing to do with that it it came Down to the legal concerns here that was It that literally was it there there was There was nothing else uh that was of of Of notable notable concern and and so There's actually separate quote here From brag Arland as he said in the United States trying to go public with a Very hostile regulator that has to Approve your S1 doesn't sound like a lot Of fun to me end quote and I've Mentioned that as well it's the SEC that Ripple defeated and it's still the SEC That would have to approve the Application for
IPO so it is what and look I still think That Ripple's going to be publicly Traded company it would be interesting If you see this taking place Elsewhere On the planet and disappointing but We'll see but look Brad Garing house Again with this leaking out late last Year that Ripple was not going to IPO That that's just for the short term it Doesn't mean that it can't happen and Then like what is short term to Ripple And Brad garos does that mean by the end Of 2024 perhaps we see something well I I think until everything's wrapped up Regarding the secv Ripple case and I Mean with 100% um conclusion I I don't think You're going to be seeing them talking About an IPO in the United States again Not not until that happens so can happen We'll just have to see how long that Takes but perhaps more interesting at Least to to me and probably to most of You listening would be an xrp ETF Approval of an xrp ETF and it's coming I Think it's an inevitability it's just a Question of what's the timeline going to Be what's the process going to look like How messy is it going to be because of All those complete Pricks over at the SEC you know that that's that are the Big Questions uh so anyway the this piece From the crypto basic reads as follows
Brad garlinghouse the Chief Executive Officer of us crypto payment firm Ripple Has shared his thoughts on the Possibility of an xrp spot exchange Traded fund garlinghouse commented on The prospect of an xrp ETF while Speaking with CNBC at the world economic Forum specifically when asked about the Likelihood of additional cryptocurrency ETFs garlinghouse expressed confidence Stating and I quote I think it's a Certainty I'm not going to put a horizon On the time but I think there will be Other ETFs for sure End quote however when directly Questioned about the possibility of an Xrp ETF Garing house beamed hesitating To provide a definitive answer instead He remarked there will be other ETFs for Sure yeah and so I'm sure a lot of you Have seen the clip right now uh but the Uh the guy on stage asking the questions With him he said so will there be an xrp ETF and he didn't want to say that Brad Garland house didn't want to say yes Didn't want to say no though either so Like there's going to be a lot of ETFs In the future and then then the uh the Guy pushed him a little bit further like Immedi he wasn't being a jerk about it It was kind of funny that it was a Light-hearted moment on the stage Frankly but he's like so so after brg do The question the guy's like okay so xrp
ETF he asked it right second time in a Row he's like I love the game we play Here so we didn't get an answer on that Um I wouldn't expect that to giving the Legal implications uh I mean just the Fact I understand again is legal Clarity I'm just saying I'm not surprised that Brad garlinghouse isn't interested in Speaking on this particular topic Especially with a couple of question Marks as it pertains to the SEC V Ripple Case that's all I'm saying uh but he did Seem to recognize not only is this Inevitable and I think that he does I if I had to speculate I'll speculate just For fun I speculate that he does expect And believe that there will be an xrp TF In the future uh but I also he made very Clear uh there could be a could be a bit Of a rocky road to get there and and Ultimately um you you know he he brought Up the fact that you know the SEC is not Exactly obviously not underst statement Of the year not a friendly regulator Here and so he ended up noting that it's It's really quite possible this is what I've been speculating on over the last Couple weeks you I I will not be Surprised in the least if in 2024 even If we have uh applications for at least One xrp ETF if not multiple xrp ETFs Won't be surprised in the least to see That it's a large cap coin it's got Stained power it's been around for over
A decade it's got the legal Clarity There are a ton of reasons that there Will be firms out there that will be Interested in this all I've said in Recent days is that I'm very skeptical That it would get approved currently With Kim Jean guinsler being in charge Because the only reason that he approved The spot Bitcoin ETF is because he was Backed into a corner from a legal Perspective so he just did it anyway and And and it was only three out of the Five Commissioners that voted to approve That thing it almost didn't happen Kim Jean ginzler crossed the line and made It Happen so brg house he ended up on stage Expressing the exact same concern and he Noted look we may need to have some more Judicial action here in order in order To get this passed but if that's what it Takes maybe that's maybe that's what we Do then as as an industry that that's What he said and yes that's exactly what I've expressed that the concern I have Expressed on my channel multiple times Recently I just don't think that that Kim Jean guinsler is going to vote Yes On anything that's not Bitcoin and he Even alluded to that he wasn't even Being you know um you know He wasn't even being koi about like he Just he has come out and said this Doesn't mean that we're going to be
Proven a bunch of other uh you know Crypto related ETFs he came right out And said it so I'm like yeah you're not Going to approve anything else are you Now of course he's not going to be in Charge of the SEC forever things change And if it came to suing the SEC over Every single one that they deny then That's what will happen and they will Lose of course they'll lose all I'm Saying is that it is going to be a Little bit of a messy process and it Might take some time but um look the Good news is when it does happen that Will materially impact the the actual Supply and demand Dynamics for xrp and It's just going to be another investment Vehicle that people who are more Comfortable and used to the you know the World of traditional finance will have Access to uh finally this crypto asset Class without having to sign up for you Know a coinbase account or whatever the Exchange would be and and they don't Have to worry about the custody and the Ins and outs of that they just they they Have the ETF with xrp You know the underlying asset being held So we're going and get there it's just Going to take some time that's that's All that I'm saying I do not think it's Going to happen this year I'd be shocked If that happened this year I'm not a Financial adviser you should not buy or
