Great tweet but before we get get into That can you give people just a quick Overview of Futures and what it means Perpetual with the open end on the on The future itself yeah so Futures Contracts are paper contracts that can Be traded you can trade any kind of an Asset and you can go long or you can go Short so you can expect that the price Will go up that's a long trade or you Can expect that the price is going to go Down and that's a short trade and so the Fact that these are coming out of this Time says to me that there's some Expectation of future volatility on the Upside or the downside but in the case Of xrp because it's only at 49 cents it Has a long way on the upside to go I Believe and so I think that it was very Good timing and a very bullish sign that These Futures contracts are coming out And available and xrp is one of the Assets that has the ability for people To trade Futures on it's it it is Remarkable and it it is a bit of a tell Is what it feels like doesn't it it's a Bit of a tell here right you know you Start to see this kind of product be Introduced you start to ask yourself What kind of volatility is going to be Coming to the market and the asset to Warrant introducing a product like this So what are your thoughts about it yes I Think that we've talked a lot about in
In the xrp community about the price of Xrp what it's true value is what its Fair value is what it could be worth of Its handling all the money or some of The money or a part of the money right And we know that that's ultimately going To be trillions and could be into the Quadrillions even perhaps and we can Make good cases for that and some people Have different belief systems about that And it may not be that xrp is the only One handling all of those funds but the Fact that there is a lot of liquidity Coming into the system and maybe we're At an important point in time time where That's going to start happening in a Major way is what's leading me to sort Of get this you know blinking light Going on that hey there's something Important happening here someone thinks That this price may have some big Movement in the future and this is the Right time to bring out these Contracts I I mean one has to wonder Right I mean coinbase feels there's a Market for it right I mean they they Certainly introduced them I think the Other interesting thing here too is that They're Perpetual which means there's no Term limit on it and for those that Aren't familiar with Futures contracts Sometimes there is no Perpetual contract You have to take a daily a weekly or Bi-weekly or monthly quarterly what have
You and you're not as free to just have This Open-ended you know I just took a Position and I'm hanging out until I'm Ready to get out I mean that Is that's a I mean what do you what do You make of That well that that we're early in Crypto and crypto has a long-term future If you look between where we are now and The end of this decade you know Brad Garlinghouse has made a statement that Uh crypto I believe he said could go up 10 times from where we are uh R Paul I Think has said a hundred times uh so we Could have a 100 trillion I don't think Ral says that without doing his research And understanding some of the things I Think Brad is probably being Conservative uh so you know if you have A hundred trillion dollars by 2030 That's a huge move from here that's a Move like we haven't seen in any other Asset class ever and to date Bitcoin is The best performing asset of any asset Class ever in history it's it's had the Best performance of anything ever and so When you think about that and you think About xrp possibly on a similar Trajectory then you can see why people Might want to have a Perpetual contract To hold on for the long term because We're so early in this crypto phase we Haven't even gotten to the real
Mainstream adoption yet we don't have Legislation yet therefore we don't have The institutional wave of money which is What I believe is going to come in after Legislation and Lead crypto to these Huge numbers that were expecting yeah I Think that's so well said and you know To the point that you're making about These big numbers coming into the space It won't come from retail that's going To come from institutions correct right You I mean that's absolutely yeah and it Tells me they know that by introducing These Futures right that they know that There's going to be they're expecting at Least right I'll say that they're Expecting at least some great volatility To be able to play and it's the Institutions that use these kinds of Tools every day to make massive amounts Of money so it feels like it's it's Almost like you know telling somebody I Got everything here you ask for it's all Right here and by the way xrp is not a Security and don't you guys you Institution don't you guys and girls Don't you all like to use that Futures Don't you like to use Futures you do Like those right because we have those At the table too if you like those right That's right they can leverage Futures They can put down 20% and basically get Five times leverage on the contract so It allows for them to get higher returns
By using leverage and hedge funds Typically do that they typically use Leverage in their trade so they are you Know multiplying their outcome by many Times by using leverage and also with Tokenization that we know that's coming On the blockchain the whole financial System is in flux and is changing right Now so this is the time that you would Want to have some sort of opportunity to Be invested in the future value of these Assets that are changing over shifting Tokenizing you know going on to Blockchains all kinds of things and We're going to have of course a lot of New Investments that we don't even have Right now because of smart contracts Right so smart contracts are going to Allow for all kinds of contractual Things that automatically happen that Don't exist today and so this is going To be huge Revolution as we know we've Been talking about you've been covering It brilliantly on your show and it's Just something that now that the big Institutions are coming in this is Telling me okay something big is about To happen because they're getting ready To profit from it yeah it it does feel That way to me and uh you made a good Point about your inside of your Tweet Also about where most hedge funds and Things like that are located and if you Could talk about that and how that
Wasn't represented inside the coinbase Information about Futures yes so I Responded to the coinbase information They said you could Request uh an answer to see if you were Located in an area where these Futures Would be allowed so I did respond to That I did get an answer from coinbase I Live in California I got a response that I was not in an area where these Contracts were being allowed But that didn't surprise me at all I Expected that because they're being very Quiet maybe you could say secretive About where these contracts are allowed And I think there may be a good reason For that which is what I was trying to Say in my tweet which is that many hedge Funds are based in the Cayman Islands or As we've seen with FTX in Bermuda There's advantages to them for being Based there and so for hedge funds to be Able to operate with these contracts Possibly in the Cayman Islands possibly In Bermuda there may be some other Locations Isle of Man there's some other Locations where sometimes hedge funds Are located because of special laws that It would be too telling if coinbase came Out and said oh these are only available In the Cayman Islands or Bermuda or both That would be a definite indication that These contracts are basically just for Hedge funds and that that's what this
Really is about and so they didn't say Where they were able you know where the Locations were they just said you have To apply and ask if you're in a Location sometimes no answer is still an Answer right that that's and that's what That feels like here so uh we had spoke About this briefly before coming on but I just want to change gears for a second Because I don't really know if it's Changing gears it may all actually play Into the idea of Futures being Introduced and that's the recent news of The dtcc buying securency right which is A protocol company or platform or what Have you that is going to allow for the Digitized tokenized settlement of Securities using Ripple ethereum EOS and Stellar and we know that the dtcc Settles more than two quadrillion Dollars worth of derivatives every year Your thoughts Linda my thoughts are that those four Particular cryptos are very strategic Yes if you think about xrp that would be More for the institutional side and Banking currencies Etc Stellar would be For the Unbanked type transactions so Transactions that would help the Everyday person that might be involved In the dtcc that involves you know the Average Person uh
EOS I'm not that familiar with so I Can't really say why they would have That in the dtcc I'm sure I could do Some research and figure that out but Also ethereum of course has smart Contracts and so that's going to allow For certain Assets in the DT dtcc to you Know work with smart contracts so I Think there was a very strategic reason They chose those four and uh I think That that gives us another clue that Perhaps we're moving into something Pretty soon here yeah I tell you all of It is extremely exciting I've never been Able to pinpoint anything as far as time Goes but I absolutely feel like we've All won the lottery in slow motion here I also feel when it comes to investing The greatest skill any investor can have Outside of due diligence is Patience and I think that's where we're At today is is it absolutely we need Patience and you know we do have a go Live on November 20th and that may be a Marker that may not be a marker but it Seems like it's coming into a time frame Where it could be something more Important than fed now was a lot of People were very excited and expecting Fed now to maybe provide a higher price That didn't really happen at that time But there's certain things coming Together now plus the cycle that we're In in terms of
Um as rul was saying you know one year Down three years up and then he was Talking about the one and a half years We're kind of like sort of in that he Was talking about ethereum bottoming in June and then you know others bottomed In October we're kind of getting into that Closer time Horizon where we're going to Start to see the bull market again I Think and I certainly have that for Stocks in the November time Horizon I Just put out a bull signal for the stock Market but I also believe that will be True for crypto where we're going to Have a really strong upward Trend Starting in November through next June So I think that um we're we're right on The cusp of some major price action and The fact that we have this go live I'm Like huh that's really interesting now We have the Futures contracts coming out Where people can make extra money and be Leveraged on volatility on the upside But we might also have that one last Plunge in price which I've been kind of Thinking might be out there that one Last drop because years ago I remember Barry Silbert uh said that he did not invest In xrp he invested in Ripple because he Didn't think the metrics were right to Invest in xrp that always stuck with me Like what do you mean well he was right
Because they kept I think they Controlled the price of xrp for the last Basically two and a half years almost Three years now in December and it's Roughly you know not been allowed to to Rise or it's been controlled under the Lawsuit and in a Range now maybe there's one more dip That might be the time that certain People know maybe their opportunity to Buy it up inexpensively and that might Be a strategy that's out there for People in the know just a hunch I don't Know but I I watch what people do and What they you know what they do and not What they say so that's what his Strategy is no absolutely and to go back To the point that you were making just a Moment ago because I think it's such a Valid point um and I know I'm not near My microphone so people are probably Going to have tons of comments like the Volume is way off Brad you know these Things happen so I'm gonna do my best I Can here but um I want to go back to the Point you made about fed now people see These watermarks and they want it to Reflect reflect in price right and I Think that really speaks to you know Patience right as an investor now again I'm not giving Financial advice we're Just sharing digital perspectives with People right and what works for us and Others and what's usually a main stay
But people have to weigh out their own Lives and their own investment where They sit in it But as an example fed now the SEC case And the Judgment that came down people Wanted to see price then right then we Look at everything else that happens the The proper party people were expecting Price to go nuts then for some reason I Don't know why didn't make sense to me Either but you know but they get These they get these uh watermarks in Their head right and they think th this Time right okay well not this time but This this time right well all right but Not that time but this time you know You're going to kill yourself like that Right like that's not not there's so Much suffering in that Approach you know I always hope that People look at those points but they're Fundamental watermarks when I see those Watermarks come about I'm not expecting Price reflection I cover them on the Channel and I talk about them and get Excited about them myself because I'm Seeing one more piece of infrastructure Be plugged in using Ripple Andor XR or Intention to use it in the future and When I see those things happen I just See a puzzle picture becoming more clear And end up coming together where it's Starting to truly fit the way it's Supposed to and intended to and
Ultimately seeing those things Continually play out in the manner that I want to see them happen like the DTC News right Perpetual Futures the Anticipation of more Market vtil Volatility which means more uh liquidity Moving into the scene seeing all of Those things Linda to me just tells me We're on the right path as long as I Stay the right path that's what helps me Be patient price will take care of Itself what are your thoughts absolutely I mean I'm of the mindset that you know This is a three to five year minimum Hold but we're going to see price action Within that time Horizon now I came in In 2020 so I'm already three years into It so I think the next few years are Going to be where the major movement is Yeah and I agree with you that if people Are expecting you know where's the money Where's the money if they think of this Is a lottery ticket they're they're not In the right mindset right so and that's Why I tweeted that this is not just Another crypto xrp is not just another Crypto it is going to be in this new Financial system we've studied this from All different angles we've looked at This we've shown so much evidence and Proof that it is coming and I believe That the price has been held at a Particular level for a reason and that That is all planned so we just have to
Wait and hang in there give ourselves Enough time and really understand Continue or study and understand and Continue watching your show and getting All the great information that you share Daily that really supports the whole Theory and the whole knowledge base of What we know that this asset really is Is and you know people getting over Excited about you know particular time Horizon sometimes works against them but I will say that I do enjoy some of the Egg rag crypto uh that you um show with The technical analysis and if you Remember it was right on track that and Shout out to them and right it was right At the point where we got the the Judge's decision that the price of Crypto had been expected to rise the Price of xrp had been expected to rise And it did rise at right at that time I Think blockchain backer said you know it Was right on time you know and shout out To him too right on time that that price Exploded and now it didn't hold but it Did explode right now egg rag crypto on Your show you've shown there's a Time Horizon in November that they're Expecting another big rise and I heard That on your show and I was excited to Hear that because I'm like okay well We've got a go live happening in November we have the the the uh Futures Contracts coming out now we have you
Know the dtcc all this supporting Information all these additional things All these additional companies adopting Xrp government talking about crypto and Crypto Regulation and that may be the next step We may hear something from Congress Where and Elizabeth Warren may be Signaling that if crypto is associated With terrorism that may not be something That they're going to allow to leave out There you know and and we know that xrp Is clean in that matter we also know It's a green asset and we know the Biden Bill before talked about if you're not a Green asset that that was not going to Be good for their approval of crypto so There's a couple of other things out There where other cryptos may get Tripped up but xrp looks like it's going To you know slide right through and be Okay so it's exciting it is very Exciting no doubt about it and nobody Wants egg rag crypto and dark Defender And coins kid and crypt bull 2020 and Blockchain Backer and the rest of them To be right like I do I want them to be So right I want to carry them through The damn street there's no question About it uh I I love just they're going To be right it's just a matter of of When right yeah true not if it's when And I totally believe that we are going To see much higher prices of xrp No
Doubt about I have no doubt I have zero Zero doubt and everything that you've Shown on your show has just proven it Every day and reinforc that every single Day I certainly love the fundamental News and I certainly have a great Appreciation for all of those guys and The technical analysis that they do I Don't know how they do it you know I Mean I'm built differently but I love That they do it I love that they share It because you got I you I'm a person Who I I want to get a taste of Everything I I you know I love having as Many people around me that think Differently than I do right like I I Really have a great appreciation for That uh our private group has plenty of That inside of it and I absolutely love That I I don't like it when everybody Always agrees with me because I can't I Can't get the best reflection of what's Really going on unless someone else is Providing some other point of view right So I really do appreciate that Linda P Jones Thank you for being here with us today Any final Thoughts just you know for everyone to Hang in there this is going to be an Exciting year I don't think you're going To be let down this year so just stay Positive you know make sure your assets Are held securely in cold wallets
